March Beauty Favorites

Wednesday, March 22, 2017

Tonight, I thought it would be fun to share with you just a few of my favorite products for the month of March! These are all super affordable and I use them pretty much daily. So here we go...

1. Blending Sponge- This blending sponge is a great dupe for beauty blenders! They seriously make my foundation look so airbrushed and flawless, I don't think I'll ever go back to a regular foundation brush again.

2. Tocca Colette- This is one of my favorite perfumes; it's a very subtle and feminine scent. I normally get myself the travel size bottle for $18, which lasts a very long time!

3. Dry Shampoo- Dove dry shampoo is my life! I usually wash my hair every 2-3 days so when my hair needs to be freshened up, this stuff is a life saver. It smells amazing and blends nicely in my hair.

4. Infallible Pro Glow Foundation- I have been wearing this foundation ever since it came out! I watched a million Youtube reviews on it and it did not disappoint! It is definitely more of a medium/full-coverage foundation and gives the most natural glow (I am in the shade Classic Ivory #palelife).

5. Burt's Bees Facial Wipes- After a long day of work, sometimes I just want to take my makeup off quick and easy! These makeup wipes make that happen! They have different types, but of course I need that sensitive skin kind. They come with plenty and last quite sometime!

I hope this inspires you to try out some new things. What are your favorite products for the month of March? Please leave them in the comments below! I always love to hear about new amazing products. Thanks so much for reading!

My All Natural Skin Care Routine

Thursday, March 16, 2017

Hi guys! Tonight on the blog, I thought it would be nice to share my skin care routine with you. This is a work in progress, but I have seen such a difference in my skin that I figured if there was anyone else out there who has sensitive skin like me (and doesn't want to spend a ton of money on products), this might help ya out!

There is a cute little shop that I frequent in Downtown Savannah called Nourish - they sell a bunch of homemade soaps, bath bombs, skin care, etc. One of my favorite products that I use daily is their lavender and aloe facial bar! It is so nourishing and makes your skin feel so refreshed and clean. I use this facial bar every morning and every night! The lavender oil and aloe vera in the soap is so beneficial for treating acne. The oil in the soap has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties that can help to fight bacteria that cause acne and inflammation. They also sell exfoliating discs, which remove dead and dry skin! I usually exfoliate 2-3 times a week.

After I do that, I spray my face with rose water. Rose water has anti-inflammatory properties that help with redness or irritated skin. It helps in removing oils from the skin that can clog your pores, which can help to get rid of acne. Oh and a bonus...it works as a setting spray for your makeup! Yay!

The last part of my skin care routine is... Coconut Oil! This stuff is everything + I use it everyday! I like to use the oil as a moisturizer every morning and night. I even moisturize my arms, legs, places where stretch marks reside, and SO MUCH MORE. This stuff is incredible. I also oil cleanse my face. What is oil cleansing, you ask?? Let me tell you about all this magic!

I remove my makeup every night with Coconut Oil. All I do is take a quarter-sized amount of oil in my hands and gently apply all over my face and around my eyes, then take a warm wash cloth and wipe all that dirty makeup away! That is literally it! It leaves my skin feeling so soft and cleansed.

Follow My Wedding Journey - Budgeting Tips + Tricks

Thursday, March 9, 2017

Happy spring everybody! I've been learning a lot since getting engaged and planning a wedding with Sean! First of all, weddings are so much more expensive than I could have ever imagined, so today on the blog I wanted to share some of my tips and tricks to cut cost. Sean and I are trying to get the bargain where we can, so here are some of the things that will truly help us cut those costs!

1. Okay, so first things first - if you are not too set about the idea of having a Saturday wedding, get yourself a Sunday wedding! They are SO much cheaper and honestly, either way, your guests will be there. It was 50% cheaper just by choosing a Sunday wedding.

2. The bars can become a pretty expensive part of the big day so instead of doing a full bar, we will be sticking to beer and wine only (sodas, waters, etc.). I don't drink and our families aren't drinkers either, so this wasn't too big of a decision to make. This will save us $5 a person! Woot, woot.

3. Use yo' talents! I would like to think that I am quite the savvy crafter, so I decided that I am going to make my own centerpieces. My sisters will be helping me make all the signs throughout the wedding. We are using inspiration from Pinterest/Instagram/Youtube/Blogs and a ton of other outlets. This will save you so much! If you are interested in a few DIY's please comment below and let me know!

4. Flowers! Aggghhhh. I did my research and watched a ton of Youtube videos on how to make my own bouquet and I feel pretty confident in my abilities! We are going to order flowers in bulk from our local grocery store and have a bouquet making party with all the girls in my bridal party! I will for sure be updating you on this process!

I hope this has given you some inspiration, and thanks so much for reading! If you have any advice on how you cut costs on your wedding day, please share in the comments below. I would love to hear them!
